Department & Position: Student Experience Manager, CPE International

Time at UC Davis: 10 months

Why I chose to work on COSAF: I chose to serve on COSAF because student engagement has been at the heart of my professional and personal journey. For the past 16 years, I have worked in Student Affairs across multiple institutions in both Egypt and the United States, closely supporting student leaders, student governments, and programs that shape the overall student experience.

I believe this experience allows me to contribute a valuable perspective to COSAF discussions, while also giving me the opportunity to learn more about the incredible work happening across UC Davis. I strongly believe that the co-curricular experience is just as important as the curricular experience. What students learn through leadership, involvement, community, and experiences outside the classroom can have a lasting impact on their personal and professional growth.

My connection to this work is also personal. I was a very active student leader when I was a student, and those experiences played an important role in shaping who I am today and ultimately influenced my decision to pursue a career in Student Affairs. Serving on COSAF gives me an opportunity to become more involved in important campus conversations, contribute what I have learned throughout my career, and continue learning from students and colleagues across UC Davis.

Extracurricular hobbies/interests/activities: Reading, listening to music, watching movies, traveling.
